Cork gives couples an unusual amount of choice for a single county. You can marry in the heart of the city, on a private island, in a Georgian manor, or on a clifftop looking out over the Atlantic – sometimes all within an hour’s drive of each other. As a team that sets up at weddings across the county most weekends, we’ve worked in a fair few of these rooms ourselves.
For 2026 the names that come up again and again span every style. In the city and East Cork you’ve got Hayfield Manor, Castlemartyr Resort and Fota Island Resort; out west the coast draws couples to spots like Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa and Dunmore House.
Below is our honest rundown of venues we’d point a couple towards, grouped loosely by the kind of day they suit. We’ve kept it to places we can confirm are real, operating Cork venues – and we’ve left out anything we couldn’t stand over.

Cork is the largest county in Ireland, and its sheer variety is what makes it such a strong wedding county. Within its borders you’ll find a compact, walkable city, the rolling farmland of the Blackwater Valley to the north, the resort estates of East Cork, and the wild, indented coastline of West Cork along the Wild Atlantic Way.
That range means couples rarely have to compromise on the feel they’re after. Whether the picture in your head is a five-star city hotel, an exclusive-use country estate, or a sea-view ceremony in West Cork, there’s a Cork venue that fits – and good road links from Cork City and the airport make it easy for guests to reach most of them.
A five-star manor-house hotel set in its own leafy grounds in Cork City, only a short walk from the centre. It’s an elegant, intimate option for couples who want the polish of a luxury hotel without leaving the city, with formal gardens and private dining rooms.
A five-star resort spread across a large wooded estate in Castlemartyr, East Cork, built around 17th-century manor and castle-ruin features. With a spa, golf course and ballroom on site, it leans towards grand, full-weekend celebrations.
A five-star resort on Fota Island near Cobh, set in landscaped grounds with golf and spa facilities. The island setting and large-scale function spaces make it a popular choice for bigger Cork weddings.
A boutique hotel perched in the Montenotte district above Cork City, with terraced gardens and views over the river valley. It suits couples who want a stylish, city-side venue with a bit of elevation and character.
A celebrated country house near Shanagarry in East Cork, long known for its food and gardens. It’s a relaxed, intimate setting that suits smaller weddings with a warm, country-house atmosphere.
A four-star hotel and spa on the West Cork coast near Clonakilty, overlooking the Atlantic on the Wild Atlantic Way. The seaside setting makes it a natural fit for couples wanting ocean views as their backdrop.
A family-run hotel on the shores of Clonakilty Bay near Clonakilty, with uninterrupted coastal views over the Wild Atlantic Way. Ceremonies can be held in its sea-facing suite, terrace and gardens, giving it a distinctly West Cork coastal feel.
A large private estate near Skibbereen in West Cork, with a manor house, gardens, a private lake and James Turrell’s Irish Sky Garden. It’s an exclusive-use venue geared towards intimate, multi-day celebrations rather than big numbers.
A historic country house set in gardens and parkland near Castlelyons in North Cork. It offers exclusive-use country-house weddings with a relaxed, homely feel for both intimate gatherings and larger events.
With this much variety, the venue often comes down to the kind of day you picture rather than the county itself. A city manor, an East Cork resort and a West Cork clifftop are very different experiences, and the right one usually reveals itself once you’re honest about guest numbers, travel and the overall feel you’re after.
It also pays to think about logistics early, because the best Cork venues book out well ahead. If you’re mapping out the bigger picture, our wedding planning timeline for Ireland walks through when to lock in each piece. A few things worth weighing up:
Once the venue is sorted, the next thing most couples think about is keeping guests entertained – and that’s where we come in. There’s nearly always a lull between the meal finishing and the band kicking off, and a wedding photo booth is one of the easiest ways to fill it and get everyone mingling.

Every booking comes with a trained attendant who stays for the duration, so you and your guests never have to think about the tech. You get unlimited prints on the night plus a digital gallery of every shot afterwards, all powered by our own BoothLedger software so nothing goes missing. If you fancy something different, our selfie mirror and 360 photo booth both go down a treat at Cork weddings.
Not sure which would suit your day? Our guide to wedding photo booth ideas is a good starting point, and you can see the full range on our Cork photo booth hire page.
It depends on the day you want, but well-regarded Cork venues include Hayfield Manor and The Montenotte Hotel in the city, Castlemartyr Resort and Fota Island Resort in East Cork, Ballymaloe House near Shanagarry, Ballyvolane House in North Cork, and coastal West Cork spots like Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa, Dunmore House and Liss Ard Estate.
For popular venues on peak Saturdays, a year or more ahead is common, and some exclusive-use estates book even further out. If you have a fixed date in mind, enquire as early as you can; being flexible on the date will widen your options considerably.
Yes. West Cork is one of Ireland’s most scenic wedding regions, with venues like Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa and Dunmore House offering Atlantic and bay views along the Wild Atlantic Way, and estates such as Liss Ard near Skibbereen for exclusive-use coastal-country celebrations. Just factor in the extra travel for guests coming from the city or airport.
We’d suggest booking your photo booth around four to eight months before the wedding. Peak Saturdays in summer and around Christmas get booked up first, so the earlier you confirm, the more likely you are to get the exact setup you want for your date.
Yes – we cover every venue in Cork, city and county, and we operate nationwide too. Delivery, setup, a trained attendant for the night and pack-down are all included, and if any travel supplement applies for a more remote West Cork venue we’ll show it up front so there are no surprises.
If your Cork venue is booked and you’re ready to lock in the fun part, we’d love to help you put together the perfect setup for the day. Get in touch with our team.
